Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke says banks need much more than a payday loan to end the mortgage crisis. After $350 billion from the Troubled Asset Relief Program was spent on aiding financial institutions, more than half of modified loans ended up in default anyway. Even access to a payday loan couldn’t help most homeowners, and 53 percent of them ended up in default within six months. Now Bernanke is saying even more rescue money is needed to get the economy back on track. After the shady way the original funding was tracked after the Treasury was given basically a free license to spend it however it saw fit, I am a little skeptical about throwing more money at the same cause. Luckily, Obama says there will be more oversight regarding the remaining $350 billion, which will be available soon. To read more about this topic, visit your payday loan news source.

You have a good point on deciding who to help with past due mortgages. There are no easy answers here. Time and price may wind up being the ultimate solution to home prices.
