Happy Holidays

Hi Everyone -

I just wanted to take a few minutes to say Happy Holidays to all of our Blown Mortgage readers.  While I celebrate Christmas, I hope you have an enjoyable season no matter what your faith.  I am extremely blessed to have the good fortune of your loyalty and readership; it is an amazing compliment and something that is very humbling.  Thank you for reading and participating and giving a damn.

2007 was a wild year in our industry; and 2008 will be interesting as well.  We’ll be here blogging about it; trying to provide our small perspective on a massive problem.

I’ll be taking a breather over the next few days as wave after wave of family will be washing in to our new home.  I hope that you are able to spend the holidays reflecting on all of the good things we have in our lives, and all of the positive things that happened over the year.  Regardless of the mortgage market I am a blessed person because I have family and friends that love and care for me.  I wish that same simple and profound blessing for you.

Thank you for an incredible ride in 2007; and thank you in advance for 2008.  You all make the experience worth it and memorable.

– Morgan

    Morgan,

And a Happy Holiday to you as well! It’s been a wild ride this year and 2008 won’t be any different, but it’s still a market where talent, honesty, integrity and HARD work pay off.

    Have a great Christmas!

    Morgan,

Happy Holidays to you! I really appreciate this blog. It’s kept me educated and up to date on what’s happening. It gives me inspiration to stay in the biz.

I think if we can get through next summer, we’ll be ok.

Will post again in the new year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

    Don

    Morgan,

I just saw the last 30 mins of “It’s a Wonderful Life”, and the message is the same as yours.

It has been a very rough year for me, but I am surrounded by my family now (traveled from CA to Chicago), and things are looking better with love in my heart, and sharing my love for friends and family. Bewtween friends, family and health, it’s all we need.

    God Bless,
    Scott Stover

    Morgan,

How do you use the words blessed and damn in the same paragraph? Oh well, hope you are having a very Merry Christmas - I agree with you on the family and friends as a blessing and that has been so brought to light during this crazy year. This year is going to go down in the history books along with your always insightful and sometimes witty comments. Thanks for all the hard work and love you pour into this site - I am so glad I found it!

S Hallman - Ha! Damn and blessed in the same paragraph; I guess it’s a microcosm of life in the mortgage industry in 2007. I will work on the witty part in 2008 - I’ve just added it to my new year’s resolution list. Thanks for reading! — Morgan
