Morgan, won’t it be up to the lender to decide if they will extend the rate for 5 years? I’m going through my data base of closed clients to see who would qualify for such a swell deal and the numbers are few. I don’t advise anyone wait for the government to come in riding a white horse to save the day…especially if they can refi now.

It doesn’t seem fair to me that the people who overextended themselves trying to make a quick buck are now getting bailed out. The full extent of this bailout is so small it won’t really have much of an effect on the market anyways, so why even move forward with it? Just my 2 cents. Although my website, http://www.localmortgagequest.com doesn’t help the overextended, it certainly made it easier for them to get and ARM. Oh well…
