I ran across an interesting book in our local library that may be of help also. It’s called “The Survival Guide to Foreclosure” by Clyde Goulet and is available at Amazon. What was interesting was that the author lost his 2 homes through foreclosures and he was a CPA “who should have known better”, but had a medical emergency. His advice is pretty straight forward, but what is really of note is how he recommends doing a FSBO instead of a short sale and how to get the price up by controlling the buyers to all come at the same time to create an auction atmosphere. Not that it’s a cure-all, but it’s worth a read. By the way, now he is promoting his Real Estate investment mentoring program! When will it ever end?
