FHA is great--I've done several this year and it's been relatively pain free for my clients (I'm the realtor, but I actually do pay attention to these things). I also recommend VA--that was how I bought my first home, and there are lots of veterans and active duty service members out there that want to use this financing--they see it as a big benefit of being in the service.

Question, I?m no FHA expert but my company just got approved. I work in the operation side of things (Funder) and I really hope this FHA thing works out, because like every body else, we have gone to conforming only and it just isn?t cutting it. We are getting one loan a day if that. However my question is? how does this profit the lenders? Do they sell these loans? How does the lender make money? But most of all how does the LO/AE live off a 1% spit? That?s if you?re even getting that much. Now I know it?s good for the borrowers, but how does it benefit us keeping are few jobs the mortgage industry has left? Or the lender staying in business ?for that matter??
