I like the idea of handwritten testimonials as well - and the scanning and placing images of them is a nice touch. I am also a fan of video testimonials. If you can get your customers to appear on video and make short internet-videos that are available to potential customers you will go a long way in showcasing your commitment to customers. Personally, I have taken a slightly different track with my past clients regarding #3.
