Our friend, Matt Padilla over at the OC Register posted today about some of the craziest stories he’s heard since covering the mortgage beat for the paper.  His list includes:

• Casey Serin
• Former Huntington Beach mayor Pam Houchen involved in illegally converting apartments to condos for sale
• Taiwan Lee buying homes while in jail

So I thought I’d add a few on to the list of the insanity that is the mortgage market:

• Anyone that’s made my "Why I hate my industry" series
• ‘The Doctor‘ position in shady lending institutions
• Buying higher credit scores
• Shady practices at big companies

Anyone else?  There are plenty more to be sure - I for one just haven’t had time to write them all.
