Subprime mortgage and real estate blogging

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Today I am giving a presentation on subprime mortgage and real estate blogging to some real estate professional-types.  They asked me to talk about how to blog, why blog and how to generate business through blogging.

I thought I was an interesting choice since I (a) don’t generate business through my blog and (b) don’t try to create revenue through my blog (yet); and in general have a dislike for people who try to do things disingenuously just to get a lead.  But I guess I was chosen because the lady heading up the thing is my friend’s wife – hey I’ll take what I can get.

But I am basically going to tell them: be real, don’t be fake, talk about what you know, be interesting, have an opinion, try to help.

Then I am going to come back to my office, get caught up on everything and get ready for the weekend.

What would you tell them if you were in front of them?  I have until 11 AM to get ready.

UPDATE: All done – good talk, its amazing how much I take for granted that other people are clueless about.  I hope that we get some good new bloggers out of it.
