In the New Century bankruptcy at least someone is paying attention

by Morgan on May 2, 2007

According to Matt Padilla over at the OC Register the US Trustee overseeing the New Century bankruptcy, Kelly Beaudin Stapleton took exception to the ludicrous bonus structure initially proposed by senior New Century executives to be paid directly to them for successfully completing the bankruptcy.  The intial proposal directed that a large, multi-million dollar bonus be paid to top executives out of the bankruptcy proceeds.

The new bonus structure apparently cuts out CEO Brad Morrice and spreads the bonus to other employees at the top of the organization who are managing the bankruptcy.

Good job Kelly!
