Opteum Update

by Morgan on April 22, 2007

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

My friend at Opteum has been given 60 days notice that they’ll be laid off.  That is standard labor law, any company over 50 employees must give its employees 60 days notice if they plan on a lay off.  The higher ups did mention that they are still trying to sell the division (wholesale & conduit) and if a sale occurs my friend may get to keep their job.

In the meantime they are just kicking back, watching the clock tick, not doing much of anything, maybe surfing monster.com?
