Opteum to Close?

by Morgan on April 19, 2007

While I have been reporting insider reports (unsubstantiated) that Opteum is closing its doors the Bakersfield Bubble is reporting on a post from Broker’s Outpost the following message:

Just a note to tell you all how much Iâ??ve enjoyed working with you. However, I sadly report that as of tomorrow Opteum Financial Services, LLC will be closing their doors. Pipelines currently in house will be worked and closed up to 5/31/07.Iâ??ll be in touch with you about when and where I may reappear. Thanks for your business and hopefully weâ??ll work together again soon.

PS. This email will be shut down this evening. Use my cell if you need me.

If you remember, this is the same Opteum that pressured a former employee to take down the link to my web site talking about the potential sale of the company and other problems inside Opteum.  We’ll confirm it if it in fact becomes announced officially.

UPDATE: I spoke with my friend who works for Opteum and they said this was the first they had heard of it, but they said that they were having a company-wide meeting tomorrow at 8:30 AM for everyone and the purpose of the meeting was unknown.  The general vibe around the office is that they could be shutting down – although that is not confirmed in any way, shape or form.
